Tonight see's the return of Capdown on home soil for their tour of their newest studio album, "Wind Up Toys". Being the first album the band have released in quite a while, the gig is foreseeably packed having sold out a week in advance.
There's also some good local talent performing too, with tle likes of 2 Ft High and Desperate Cycle supporting alongside Southampton alternative/ska outfit Howards Alias.
2 Ft High start off the gig with a set that seems heavier than usual. Using the larger than usual audience to an advantage, the lads take in the atmosphere and use it well.
The performance is not stale either, branching off into rap territory similar to Sonic Boom Six with a guest MC running some very fast rap through some material. It actually goes quite well overall, with the lads having a much more confident sound.
There's also a little mention of the site with 2 Ft High's performance of "Rude Boy Antics" that was the number 1 download for that week. Plus things seem on a roll with the band working on a new CD soon.
